Laser Control Hardware and Software

Pangolin’s Lasershow Designer 2000 is the state-of-the-art system for laser show production and presentation. This software is PC based and lets the user design high quality graphics, animations, raster effects and choreographed beam shows.
Available in Basic, Intro and Pro versions.

Showtime and the Performer. Why choose Pangolin?
Working with Lasershow Designer 2000 programs, to extend the software for timeline show control. Integrating Laser and audio seamlessly on to Pangolins timeline and live key controls. Using standard commands complex graphics and beam shows can be created and synched to video, lighting and pyro to create a truely multimedia experience. Our in house designer and programmer has won numerous ILDA awards through the last 10 years so you can be certain you are in professional hands. We offer extensive training and 24 hour support worldwide. The Laser Performer console is perfect for clients such as clubs, who prefer playing from a dedicated "button box" rather than a computer keyboard. It has nine banks of 48 cue buttons, for a total of 432 cues. The cues themselves are set up in advance using the Live! and LivePRO programs.

Pangolin's LivePRO creates and combines beams, graphics and abstracts, allowing accomplished laserists to play all of these together, to make an enthralling visual experience. LivePRO goes far beyond previous live-performance laser software. You can have up to four individual laser outputs at the same time from the same head. For example, beam effects can be playing on tracks 1 and 2, while mirror ball effects are playing on track 3 and graphic animations can be playing on track 4. This software has been developed over the years and has traits from the video editing world, the lighting industry and of course laser technology. Full DMX input supported now.

Pangolin’s QM2000.NET is the state-of-the-art system for laser show production and presentation working entirely over a network whether wired or wireless. The boxes are basically containers for the QM2000 board which has a special network adaptor installed on to the QM2000 card. The boxes come in 19" rack size or handy notebook size. The QM2000.NET will work as stand a lone or with other net boxes or with a combination of QM2000 and QM2000.NET. All QM2000.NET have DMX control for easy access by lighting designers.

Lasershow Converter MAX, Pangolin's plug-in for the program 3D Studio MAX you can now make sophisticated laser images by working directly with standard 3D computer graphics. The plug-in enables computer graphic artists to convert 3D objects and scenes into laser outlines. The result can be as simple as a single-frame logo, or as complex as an animated fly-through of a city.
Lasershow Converter FLASH converts 2D objects and scenes into laser outlines working directly with Macromedia Flash files to obtain a simple single-frame logo, or a complex, complete laser show. This means that programmers who are familiar with Macromedia Flash can now programme laser graphics.

The credit card sized laser controller.
Flashback 3 DMX /Midi

Now you can economically put a complete laser show controller into your projector. No more computers, no more external controllers. This credit card sized Flashback 3 board is the perfect solution for stand alone laser systems. It’s easy to use just insert a Smart Media memory card that stores up to 80 minutes of laser graphics, animations and beams. Then play the 512 different cues using standard DMX from any lighting desk or DMX compatable device. Using 12 DMX channels the image size, position, brightness, rotation angle, colour, playback speed etc can be programmed. Interface with MIDI devices also available for control through any Midi control surface. We under took the Chemical Brothers World Tour where we used 4 of these units in 4 Laser projectors controlled by DMX.

Playback and control of the flashback can be achieved by

  • DMX control: Frames or animations are loaded into memory and played on demand using the DMX-512 lighting standard. In addition to being able to select the frame or animation, DMX can also control Image size, Position, Rotation angle, Playback speed, Scan rate, Brightness, Color, and Write/Erase.
  • USB: Pangolin's LiveQUICK software was designed specially for the Flashback 3. LiveQUICK is an application that you can use to create and edit frames and animations, upload files to the removable memory card, add geometric correction to the projected image, and then perform shows Live if desired.
  • Automatic playback: Using LiveQUICK, you can specify a cue or sequence of cues to start playing automatically upon power-up. The cue or sequence can play once or continuously.
